Hand-Painted Japanese Tea Cup and Saucer
Konnichiwa!
This delicate beauty comes to us from Japan. It is hand-painted with orange hues in the background and a lovely, balancing, olive, nature scene in the foreground.
The Stamp on the back tells us that this china was made in the Noritake factory on Chikaramachi street in Nagoya, Japan in the late 1920's (the Noritake factory had just started exporting china in the mid 1910's making this item a popular wedding gift.)
It's definitely been loved but we were so lucky to find it! Did your grandmother or mother get any of these? We also found that they used blue hues as well.
